A lifelong friendship takes an unexpected turn when Charlie (Jerry O'Connell) and Louis (Anthony Anderson) attempt to off-load a truck full of stolen televisions into a New York City warehouse. On arrival they realize the warehouse belongs to Charlie's stepfather, the notorious crime boss Sal Maggio (Christopher Walken). To make matters worse, they've inadvertently lead the police there, and have to make a quick escape. Sal decides to punish them with a complicated assignment--he sends them to the Australian outback, where they must deliver $50,000 to a shady associate of Sal's called Mr. Smith. In the Australian desert, the adventure is brought to an abrupt halt when Charlie and Louis run over a kangaroo in their car. Thinking the unfortunate marsupial is dead, they dress him up in Louis's lucky jacket, and name him Jack. Jack doesn't remain dead for long however, and hops off into the outback with the $50,000 in his jacket pocket. Fearing for their lives, they enlist the help of various hapless locals in an attempt to track down Jack and their money, with only the beautiful Jessie (Estella Warren) providing any useful assistance. With Sal's henchmen and Mr. Smith hot on their trail, time is running out as they pursue Jack through the desert. KANGAROO JACK, a Jerry Bruckheimer-produced film, is a fun-filled, action-packed adventure that is is perfect for kids of all ages.

The Winter of Our Discount Tent

According to Jim Mize, nature has no mercy - just a sense of humor - and in this hilarious romp through the woods, he proves why readers praise him as an amusing combination of Marlin Perkins and Lewis Grizzard. The way Jim tells it, such overlooked creatures as fleas, flying squirrels, and chipmunks become curiosities of hilarious proportions. In the opening section, Jim waxes comic about carnivorous plants, insects that make people nervous, and birds with bad names. He points out, for instance, that all plants are edible. It`s just that some of them will kill you. He also notes potential uses for kudzu - erosion control, livestock fodder, and hiding the neighbors` house as a prank while they`re on vacation. From the quirks of nature, Mize graduates to greasy kid stuff. He tells parents how to referee while paddling a boat, raise kids that people like, and survive the two hobbies no child can resist - rock collecting and entomology. And Jim has plenty of musings about hunting and fishing.... The Winter of Our Discount Tent

The Fashionista Files

A fashionista is a girl who always looks current and cutting edge, even when her clothes are vintage 1975. A fashionista can tell her Pucci from her Gucci and her Blahniks from her Choos, but she’s as comfortable in Kmart as she is in Chanel. She wears what she likes and always looks fantastic. She’s a clothing chameleon: a sharp tweed suit and ladylike driving gloves one moment, a punk rock T-shirt and studded belt the next. She’s a gypsy, a princess, and a diva. She’s fashion-forward, shopping-addicted, and full of fun. And you can be her, no matter your size, style, or budget.
Authors Melissa de la Cruz and Karen Robinovitz are fashionistas who share a love for impractical shoes, small dogs that fit in designer handbags, and wearing white after Labor Day. They eat, sleep, and breathe fashion. And they’ll teach you how to
• Make a whole new wardrobe out of the awful duds that lurk in the back of your closet
• Use the... The Fashionista Files
